The Company was founded in 2003 by Peter Mitchell - a highly qualified and internationally recognised expert in cider and perry making, with over 25 years of experience and an award-winning producer in his own right.

Peter has also developed a sound reputation for work across the whole of the food and drink sector. This has included providing training, leading innovative projects in food Quality Assurance, assisting a broad range of businesses with HACCP, hygiene management, quality control and food safety. He has also undertaking work for the Food Standards Agency and Advantage West Midlands - The Regional Development Agency.

Built on this firm foundation, Mitchell F&D Limited currently provides

• Specialist training courses, support and advice for large and small cider, perry and drink producers;
• Training for the whole of the food and drink sector;
• Assistance and auditing in HACCP, Hazard Analysis and Quality Assurance for all food and drink businesses

In addition and based on its excellent reputation, expertise, experience and contacts throughout the industry, the company also provides a range of activites (e.g. tours, tutored tastings, short courses, workshops and corporate entertainment) for the general public and for business clients associated with discovering, exploring and appreciating locally produced quality food and drink in the western counties of England and the Welsh Borders.

Operating out of a base in the West Midlands, UK, the Company operates throughout the UK and overseas. Recent assignments have included work in the USA, Canada, Europe and China. Carefully selected specialist Associates or partnership organisations may be involved in some work if appropriate to individual circumstances.
